Founder & Executive Director
As Executive Director, Laura is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of the teacher residency program. Prior to this work, Laura served as the Chief Academic Officer at STEM Preparatory Academy, a charter school network located in Nashville, Tennessee. In her time as CAO, STEM Prep was consistently named a Reward School, performing in the top 10 percent of schools in the state.
Laura is currently a doctoral student at Vanderbilt University and will complete a degree in Educational Leadership and Policy in May 2018. Laura is also a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and holds a Master’s degree in Education Policy from the Peabody College of Education at Vanderbilt University. Laura began her career as a Teach For America - St. Louis Corps Member where she taught high school English.
Managing Director of Program & Evaluation
As the Managing Director, Anne is responsible for the program continuum, including the selection of residents and mentors, resident coursework, instructional coaching, and cultivation of the graduate network. Prior to this role, Anne worked as a policy analyst at the U.S. Department of Education. She began her career as a middle-school Social Studies teacher through Teach For America - St. Louis. She also spent many years coaching new teachers, developing curricular resources and learning experiences for teachers, and teaching at the college and post-graduate levels.
Anne is currently a doctoral student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where her research focuses on school choice, the economics of education, and evaluation of education programs and policies. She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, and also holds a Master in Public Policy from the George Washington University.
